Company Heritage

SyntheSys Research was established in 1989 by the Waschura brothers, with engineering roots in signal integrity research. With a legacy in the disk memory, digital video test, and satellite businesses, SyntheSys has pioneered innovative bit error analysis techniques into award-winning instruments. Dr. Lutz Henckels was appointed CEO of SyntheSys Research in 2004, to lead SyntheSys through the next generation of signal integrity research and design. SyntheSys possesses the expertise needed to lead the next wave of high-speed communications test and measurement in both electrical and optical development.

Our customers include integrated circuit manufacturers and systems integrators involved in computer applications such as PCIe, SATA, SAS, FB-DIMM; and optical manufacturers providing transceiver and components for Fibre Channel and 10-Gigabit Ethernet. These high speed serial data markets are growing rapidly, and SyntheSys Research's award-winning BERTScope product line is providing the most innovative, fast, easy to use, and accurate tools to support developers in these markets.
