High Performance Delay Matched Cable Set

A set of matched clock and data connector cables is available as an accessory to the Clock Recovery instrument. These cables are designed and manufactured to exacting tolerances, eliminating any need to compensate for cable disparity during testing.

Spread spectrum clocks exhibit low frequency (30-33 kHz) modulation, for example, resulting in 225 UI deviation when imposed on a 3 Gb/s data signal. This frequency deviation is tracked accurately by the clock recovery instrument when the optional five-piece cable set is used. The cable set is matched to compensate for the 5 ns delay in a BERTScope Analyzer with SSC signals, thus avoiding jitter amplification.

The set of five high performance cables is able to compensate for clock-to-data delay in the BERTScope CR or BERTScope Analyzer. The Huber+Suhner high performance cables include phase matched pairs of data input (1-meter) and data output (2-meter) cables, and one 0.2-meter clock out cable.
