Passive Probe Kit

The BERTScope BSA7500A PPK is a ÷10, high frequency probe using a special 50 Ω cable with an SMA connector for high speed data transmission line measurements. The DC Input resistance is 500 Ω. It is designed to be used for probing signals to be analyzed with the BERTScope Error Detector. The probe utilizes a transmission line topology, which provides relatively constant circuit loading over frequency.

A ÷20 attenuation network is included to increase the probe input resistance to 1 k Ω. An SMA-to-BNC adapter is provided to connect the probe to other instruments with BNC input connectors, for measurements at lower frequencies.

The BSA7500A PPK probe has a spring-loaded, hinged ground pin to assure good electrical contact and ease of probing in dense circuitry. The probe is designed to be used with any instrument having a 50 Ω input resistance.
